My Christmas Kicks List | 5 Kicks I Need Under My Tree…

Here’s my annual Christmas Kicks List. I hope @Springcart’s paying attention!

Undefeated X Converse Poorman Weapon – $200

Undefeated offers a detailed look into their latest Poorman Weapon capsule with Converse. The high top sneaker was once again inspired by the classic MA-1 flight jacket, with a nylon upper, orange lining and velcro details. A matching grey MA-1 jacket, and flight bag will be released along with the sneaker on Grey Friday – November 26, 2010.

Solebox X adidas Equipment Support

Solebox has announced the release date of its latest collaborative sneaker, the adidas Equipment Support. Originally slated to land in 2011, this sneaker sports a slick grey and white upper with a black quarter panel and tongue, and will actually release on December 11th. Red hits can be seen throughout, including on the “Solebox” and “Support” dubraes. At the Berlin release of this shoe, a special foldable backpack will be issued with each purchase.

Air Jordan 1 Anondized Cranberry – $260

The Air Jordan 1 which was infused with the foamposite technology is now called the Anodized, and carrying the same “Cranberry” code similar to that of the Nike Air Foamposite Cranberry, it possesses a varsity red (or sometimes called cranberry) upper. With this composition, the Swoosh appears in an embedded condition while the Air Jordan wings insignia continues to soar along the collar. Hints of black and white are present on the tongue, inner liner, and midsole while icy blue outsole breaks the neutral mode.

Nike 1/2 Cent Cranberry – $190

Officially styled in Varsity Red/Black-Varsity Red, the hybrid Penny model is set to release Saturday, December 18th.

Air Jordan 13 Black/Voltage Cherry

The Air Jordan XIII GS above in black and Voltage Cherry combines the two playoff AJXIIIs and adds a playful, if feminine twist with the cherry red shade instead of your typical Varsity offering. It’s a great way to treat your young sneakerheads and/or lovely ladies, and a chance for them to get the spring/summer 1998 look before either of the other XIIIs hits retail. These are scheduled to drop later this year as part of Jordan Brand’s Holiday 2010 collection, but the insiders over at VMVinc already have a few sizes available for pre-order and ready to ship by the end of the month.

Adidas Spring 2010 Heat

Just came across some serious heat from adidas on the sneaker front…they’re doing it huge this spring. I have to give credit where it’s due…take a look and let me know your thoughts:

ZX700: Thanks to a guy named Gary Aspden, I’m a huge ZX 700 fan. I love the clean look of this Grey/Purple ZX700. The ZX700 looks great with almost anything you wear. The grey space gives the shoe a clean look, and the purple accent makes it a great option.

Adidas/Ransom Bluff: adidas teamed up with Ransom for this second round of collaboration. I love the look of the classic boat shoe. The brown colorway is timeless, but the green is a head turner! That’s the one that will have kids coming up to you asking where you copped.

Gotta give props – ADIDAS A-ZX Winner ZX700Y

Been a minute since the stripes has wowed me, but I have to admit, these are fly. Over the last few years I became a fan of the ZX series. They’re comfortable and Ben’s team has come up with some really good colorways. This was a contest winner and a great choice…Get them here.

5 Styles of Kicks Every Collector should have

sneakerconsamples
source: Sneaker Con

Every sneaker collection starts small. Mine started when I was about 10 years old. There was my first pair of blue and black suede pumas…then the white, red and blue Reebok classics…My first pair of chucks (grey with baby pink laces), and so on…Of course, I went on to have the coolest sneaker head job ever, and my collection swelled to as many as 500 pairs. But, in the end, it’s not how many pairs you have, but which pairs are the most coveted. You can have 5 pair of shoes and have a killer collection, as long as you have the right 5 pairs. These are my pics, not in any particular order, and not any particular shoe. (That would be a reeeeealllly long discussion.) I’m just going for the categories with this one. Let me know if you agree.

1. Classic White/White Sneaker (Usually an adidas Superstar or Nike Air Force 1, but lately, I’ve found a lot of nice options like the Ubiq Fatima Perforated)

2. High Performance Shoe (Running or Basketball will do, Think Adidas or Nike.)

3. Sneaker Boutique Exclusive Colorway (Something you will not find in the Slauson Swapmeet, footlocker or the mall, period. Think Undefeated, Proper, Huf)

4. Air Jordans in any style (Not team Jordan or any of the other Jordan brand styles. I’m talking AIR JORDAN)

5. Slip Ons (Usually Vans, but these days, Supra, Creative Recreation and a few others make a nice option)

Rule #2: If you must shop at the mall, get a discount.

Still got the hook up. :)
